Barrels Furniture is a small, family-run workshop. The barrels come in from Scotland; your furniture goes out from our doors in the South of England.
We believe if we’re going to work with whisky barrels, we should honour the wood:
- We hand-pick barrels with strong staves and interesting grain
- We do as much as possible with traditional tools – saws, clamps and sanders, not conveyor belts
- We keep the history visible: grain lines, small scars and cooperage marks
