This engraved barrel lid table turns a retired whiskey barrel top into a personalised focal point. First, we select strong Scottish oak lids that have already spent years ageing whisky. Then we sand the surface smooth, removing rough edges while keeping the natural grain and marks that show the barrel’s history.
After the wood is prepared, we use precision laser engraving to burn your chosen design deep into the oak. You can add a family name, pub or bar name, special date or custom logo. Because the engraving is cut into the wood, it will not peel or rub off like printed designs. The rich contrast between the dark engraved areas and the warm oak makes the artwork stand out clearly.
You can use the top as a small table when mounted on legs, as a serving board, or as wall art fixed flat against a wall. It works especially well above a bar counter or in a whiskey‑themed room. The natural variations in grain and colour mean that every lid looks slightly different, so each finished piece is unique to you.
We finish the oak with natural oils to protect it from everyday use and to enhance its warm tones.
